The back yard space is the most important part of a lot of family homes. A pool brings a host of new possibilities to your home. It is a gym, playroom, and a day at the beach. It is your backyard oasis. We at Solar Swim sell, service & repair swimming pools to your satisfaction.
How long do liners last usually?
Five to fifteen years depending on the chemical balance, exposure to sun, and choice of maintenance chemicals.
How Many days does it take, and when should I replace it?
The actual replacement of a liner takes about 5 days including 3 days to fill the pool - depending on the water supply. We need a few hours to custom measure the pool for a replacement liner, it sometimes involves hundred or more measurements. Sometimes we can measure the pool without draining it, so that you can continue to use the pool while your liner is being made.
The liner can take between one and five weeks to manufacture depending on the time of year. Try to avoid the spring rush of April & May, by ordering in the previous fall while pool is still open so measurements can be taken.
Do I have a choice in patterns?
Absolutely. Every year new patterns are offered. Please visit our supplier Deys www.deysfab.com/pools/inground.htm or www.taylorpoolproducts.com. Some patterns may be temporarily out of stock or discontinued. A patterned liner helps reduce the need for maintenance and cleaning. It can compliment surrounding colours or features and help hide imperfections in the pool structure.
How much does it cost?
The cost depends on the size and shape of the pool and condition of the concrete. Also the pattern choice of the new liner.
What's included?
We will start by custom measuring the pool for a sure fit liner. Before installing the liner we will drain the pool and remove the old liner. We will clean and scrape the floor and walls of the pool. We touch up rough spots and minor rust. Install the liner and cut out for the new faceplates and returns.
What are some of the extra charges that I may incur?
Your pool walls may have severe rusting. The floor of the pool may have rough concrete or no concrete. The faceplate screws may be stripped. The internal dimensions of the pool may require an extra design charge. Old liner disposal and/or trucking in water are also extra charges.
What else should I consider doing while replacing my liner?
Have all your underground plumbing lines checked for leaks. Add a pool light. Replace your coping or your main drain cover with an anti-snare device.
What is the guarantee?
Two years parts and labour on the installation. A manufacturer pro-rated warranty on the liner itself.
